HOTEL COZZI Ximen Tainan: Cartoon Network Hotel Rooms in Taiwan

Immersive Cartoon Network room design at HOTEL COZZI Tainan — characters embedded into walls and furniture

Tainan is Taiwan’s oldest city. Layered with temples, courtyards, and colonial-era streets, it’s not where you expect to find a hotel that turns its walls into a cartoon universe. HOTEL COZZI Ximen in Taiwan does exactly that — and makes it feel intentional.

The Design

Opened in 2015, COZZI Ximen is a contemporary 11-floor building in the heart of the city’s Ximen district — steps from the historic West Gate area and a short walk from the striking geometric white volumes of Tainan National Art Museum.

The building itself is clean and restrained. Neutral palette, modern lines. The real design statement happens inside.

Two full floors — the 6th and 7th — are given entirely to Cartoon Network themed hotel rooms. This isn’t a wallpaper job. The rooms are fully themed environments, with characters and scenes embedded into the spatial design: walls, lighting, furniture placement. The corridors between them carry Tainan landmarks reimagined through cartoon characters — an unusual move that ties pop culture design to local context.

Beyond those floors, the hotel holds a dedicated game area, a themed party kitchen, and a playground space called Funky Field. Each one designed as a distinct, immersive environment — not an afterthought.

The Experience

COZZI Ximen works on two levels. Standard rooms are calm and well-proportioned — contemporary finishes, city views, clean geometry. The hotel does quietness well.

The themed floors are something else. They’re designed for full immersion. Families bring children here specifically for this. But the themed rooms also attract design-curious adults who want to see what it looks like when a hotel commits fully to an interior concept — not just a themed pillow.

The location adds context. You’re in one of Asia’s most architecturally rich cities, surrounded by buildings that have been shaped by Dutch, Japanese, and Chinese influences over 400 years. The contrast between what’s outside and what’s inside the hotel is part of the experience.
